The Fox Terrier is one of the oldest known breeds. In the 16th century, this breed was already established in Great Britain. This breed was bred to make foxes come out of their burrows.

BEHAVIOR AND TEMPERAMENT: He is independent, dynamic and outgoing. Always alert, full of love and spirit, totally loyal.
Skull: The topline of the skull almost flat, sloping slightly and gradually narrowing in width towards the eyes.
Stop : Light.
Snout: Small difference in length between skull and muzzle. The muzzle gradually decreases from the eye to the nose, with a slight stop at its junction with the skull.
Jaws and Teeth: Scissor bite with strong jaws.
Eyes: Dark colored, intelligent expression. small in size and not prominent, not too far apart and not too high.
Ears : From small size, in a "V" shape, with bent tips, falling forward and flat.
NECK : Clean, muscular, of moderate length, without dewlap, widening to the shoulders; presents a graceful curve when viewed in profile.
Chest: With ribs arched, deep.
Loin: Muscular, slightly arched. Very short.
Back: Well developed, level, without sagging.
TAIL: Set high. Carried erect, not over the back or bent over. Good strength and of moderate length to maintain a balanced look.
Shoulders: Shoulders are long and well angled, oblique and sloping back.
Elbows: Perpendicular to the trunk, working freely on the sides, carried straight when in motion.
Feet: Round and compact.
Hocks: Well let down.
Thighs: Well developed, long and powerful.
Paws : Round and compact .
GAIT/MOVEMENT: Fore and hind limbs move forward, straight and parallel. The elbows move perpendicular to the body, working freely on the sides. The knees turn neither in nor out. Good drive due to the good flexibility of the hindquarters.
Hair : Straight, flat, smooth, hard, dense and abundant.
COLOR: White predominates, with black, black and chestnut or chestnut markings. Brindle, red, liver or bluish-gray spots are undesirable.
SIZE: Height at the withers, not exceeding 39 cm in males; females may be slightly smaller.
