  • HISTORICAL SUMMARY  

Developed and enhanced for  hunting, its popularity is enormous in countries where the sport is allowed. BEHAVIOR AND TEMPERAMENT:  It has a friendly temperament, always companions of its owners. It is alert and active, possesses great strength and speed. It is a balanced and pleasant dog.

Ears : Set high, of medium length. Gently pointed at the ends.
 

NECK :  Long, arched and muscular neck. Free from dewlap.

TAIL: Set on and carried at the level of the back, medium size, starts thick and gradually thins.

  • COLOR: Lemon and white, orange and white, liver and white and black and white. Unicolor and tricolor are also correct.

 

SIZE: Females - 61 to 66 cm / Males - 63 to 69  cm

Any deviation from this standard should be considered a fault and penalized in exact proportion to its severity and its effects on the health and well-being of the dog.  

DISQUALIFYING FAULTS

 

• Aggressiveness or excessive shyness.
